Weather Warnings issued as snow hits the UK
Motorists are warned of delays as emergency teams deal with snow related crashes
A weather warning has been issued by the Met Office.It's warning of more snow and rain to fall into Wednesday morning.Police in Leicester say they believe snow was the cause of a lorry crash on the M1. A stretch of the southbound carriegway was closed because of it. In a tweet the force said: "There has been an accident involving a Lorry. Unfortunately, all lanes are currently blocked. Police and Highways are aware and are currently dealing. Please make alternative travel arrangements."Elsewhere airports have been forced to close.Birmingham's runway had to shut so snow could be cleared on Tuesday evening while bosses at Luton Airport are warning of possible disruption throughout Wednesday.In total 19 flood alerts have also been issued - with experts saying they will now monitor river levels.Showers should clear later on Wednesday but could return into Thursday morning.
