WHSmith have apologised after charging £7.99 for toothpaste
The tubes were on sale at some of their hospital branches
The newsagents have issued an apology after the tubes of Colgate were spotted on sale for £7.99 in a hospital branch of theirs in Wakefield.
A spokesperson for WHSmith said they have donated the £711 profit they made from the 89 units sold to charity, and blamed a pricing error for the mistake.
