Trump orders sanctions on Iran
The focus is on metal exports - the largest non-petroleum sector of the Iranian economy
US President Donald Trump has order new sanctions to be put on Iran targetting it's metal exports.
Trump has also vowed that he will keep squeezing Tehran until it "fundamentally alters" its policies.
Metals account for 10 per cent of Iran's total exports and the US are putting restrictions on exports of iron, steel, aluminium and copper.
The U.S. Treasury said it was allowing a 90-day winding down period for transactions related to Iran's metals sectors and warned against entering into any new business after May 8, saying that would not be considered a wind-down activity.
