Three cabinet ministers backing delay to Brexit
Amber Rudd, David Guake and Greg Clark say they will vote with Tory rebels to extend Article 40, if the Prime-Minister's deal with the European Union doesn't pass through the next round of votes.
It's the latest sign that we could see a delay to Brexit, as the cabinet ministers say they will back Tory rebels.
The government is not currently held to extending Article 50, as Parliament have voted down severally motions legally binding it.
But these three cabinet ministers believe that the extension is a better option than crashing out of the European Union without a deal.
The ministers called on members of the European Research Group, formed by Conservative pro-Brexit lawmakers, to back the government's deal or risk seeing Brexit delayed, according to The Sun newspaper.
