Surge in number of Welsh coronavirus cases
A further 13 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Wales, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 38.
The official number of people tested for the virus now stands at 945, while those suffering a cough or high temperature are being asked to self-isolate at home for seven days.
On Friday Dr Robin Howe, incident director for the Covid-19 outbreak response at PHW, said the new cases include four people in the Caerphilly area and two in the Swansea area.
The other seven cases are in the local authority areas of Anglesey, Cardiff, Carmarthenshire, Flintshire, Monmouthshire, Newport, and Powys.
Dr Howe said: "All patients are being managed in clinically appropriate settings based on the assessment of a specialist infectious disease consultant."
He added: "Public Health Wales is working with our partners in the Welsh Government, the wider NHS in Wales, and others now that we have entered the delay phase of the UK Coronavirus Action Plan.
"This is now not just an attempt to contain the disease, as far as possible, but to delay its spread."
