Public sector workers should be given pension opt out option - TPA
Public sector workers should be given more control over their remuneration, according to a report by the TaxPayers' Alliance.
Workers should instead by able to opt out of their employer pension scheme and receive the contribution as salary on a voluntary basis, the report says.
The TPA calls for the changes to be implemented to address 'unsustainable perks' received by those in the public sector, where pension liabilities currently stand at around £2 trillion.
