LIVERPOOL RESTORE SIX-POINT LEAD WITH COMEBACK VICTORY OVER SPURS
Liverpool returned to winning ways by beating Tottenham 2-1 and moving six points clear at the top of the Premier League table.
Jurgen Klopp's side had seen their 100 per cent start to the league campaign end at Manchester United last week but they responded by coming from behind to see off Spurs.
Harry Kane silenced Anfield inside the opening minute by nodding home from close range after Son Heung-min's deflected shot came back off a post.
Spurs had goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga to thank for reaching half-time in the lead but they should have gone further ahead early in the second when Son rounded Alisson but could only hit the crossbar from a tight angle.
And Liverpool soon equalised as Jordan Henderson's deflected effort finally found a way past Gazzaniga before Serge Aurier's clumsy foul on Sadio Mane allowed Mohamed Salah to score from the spot.
Elsewhere, Manchester United beat Norwich 3-1 at Carrow Road; their first away league win since February.
Gunners fans were frustrated as Arsenal squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at home to Crystal Palace.
And Wolves came from behind to draw 1-1 at Newcastle.
