King Charles is heckled in Australia
“This is not your land... you are not our King.”
The King faced a protester who told him “you are not my King” and “you destroyed our land” after he gave a landmark speech in Australia about his relationship with the country.
Charles had just finished speaking and was receiving applause from the crowds at Government House when a woman moved into the aisle and berated him for around 30 seconds.
With the Queen and Australia’s Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also on the stage in the building’s great hall, the protester said: “You destroyed our land, give us a treaty – we want a treaty, we want a treaty with this country.
“This is not your land, this is not your land, you are not my King, you are not our King.”
