Interest Rates Decision Due

Interest Rates Decision Due

Rates expected to be held at 5.25% by Bank of England

The Bank of England will announce its latest decision on interest rates at lunchtime, a day after the rate of inflation fell back to its target of two per cent.

It's widely expected rates will be kept unchanged at 5-point-25 per cent.

Laura Suter, AJ Bell’s personal finance director, said it would be “very unlikely” that the Bank would cut rates during an election campaign.

The decision is released at midday.
