Gove, Raab and Leadsome make it eight in the Tory Leadership Contest
More names are expected to be announced in the coming days
The Environment Secretary Michael Gove, Former Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab and Andrea Leadsome, until last week, the Leader of the House of Commons are the latest Conservative MP's to indicate that they to run in the contest to replace Theresa May as leader of the Conservative Party.
Former Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, the current Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt, International Development Secretary Rory Stewart, Health Secretary Matt Hancock and former Work and Pensions minister Esther McVey had already announced they would stand.
The former Mayor of London and current MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip, Johnson, is the front-runner in the contest, with some bookmakers putting him as the odds-on favourite.
The official race to replace Theresa May doesn't start until the 10th of June.
