Fall in number of people heading to university
The proportion of young people who believe it is important to go to university when they are old enough has fallen.
It's down from a record high of 86% in 2013 to 75%, according to a survey by the Sutton Trust.
It finds that 77% of young people believe that 'knowing the right people' is important for success in life. Asked about the likelihood they will enter higher education, 77% think they are likely to go to university and disadvantaged pupils are less likely to believe they will go to university than their better off peers (67% compared to 79%). Almost half (46%) of young people who are likely to go to university say they are worried about the cost of higher education.
