England take first test after Root century
Former England captain Joe Root saw England home by five wickets at Lord's on day four of the first test against New Zealand
The world champions were shot out for 132 on day one only for England to secure just a nine-run lead in reply.
The Kiwis then set Ben Stokes' side 277 to win, England going into day four needing 61 runs with five wickets remaining.
Root put on an unbroken century partnership with wicketkeeper Ben Foakes to take the home side to victory without the use of tthe second new ball.
