Damning new report into leaked information after US row
A new report claims those who leak Government information must 'feel the full force of the law'.
It's claimed the Foreign and Commonwealth Office must have a zero-tolerance approach to leaks regardless of who has passed on the information.
The Foreign Affairs Committee highlights the case of the diplomatic leaks which caused the resignation of former UK Ambassador to the US Sir Kim Darroch, stating that the affair damaged the UK's reputation and its links with the US.
The committee states that the Government should review its current sentencing framework to send a message that leaking will not be tolerated.
