Caroline Flack: Tributes for TV presenter following her death:
Tributes have been paid to TV presenter Caroline Flack after her death at the age of 40.
A number of celebrities have taken to social media to send messages of condolence.
Her family confirmed the death on Saturday evening of the former Love Island host.
BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker was among the people paying tribute to Flack following news of her death.
He tweeted: "Awful news about Caroline Flack. We really need to be better at taking care of each other. So sad".
Eamonn Holmes tweeted: "Caroline Flack .... Dear God. Shocked beyond belief. May she have found peace . #Rip Has to be repercussions for Love Island now surely?"
A lawyer for the Flack family confirmed that Caroline took her own life and was found in her east London flat on Saturday.
This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield paid tribute to Flack with a post on his Instagram stories.
He added text above a message that Flack had posted on social media, which read: "In a world where you can be anything, be kind".
Schofield wrote: "You poor darling girl my heart is breaking #BeKind".
Former Love Island contestant Amber Davies, who won the ITV2 series in 2017, tweeted: "My heart is actually broken."
Radio and TV presenter Edith Bowman tweeted: "I can't quite believe what has happened. Caroline you didn't deserve this. Such sad and tragic news. Love to all her family.
"The media and social media have SO much to answer for. RIP Lovely Flack".
Former Love Island contestant Wes Nelson wrote a long message on Instagram next to a picture of himself with Flack.
He wrote: "I can't believe what I'm reading! Caroline Flack was an absolute diamond, my hearts genuinely broken! One of the warmest funniest people I've ever met, I have nothing but great memories! It was just weeks since we were chatting away!".
Zoe Ball tweeted: "Devastating news about Caroline. Thoughts with her family and loved ones".
Derry Girls actress Nicola Coughlan tweeted: "I met Caroline Flack last summer, she was so sweet and genuine and couldn't have been kinder to me. She did not deserve this. It's absolutely devastating, all my love to her family and friends."
Channel 4 presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy, who appeared last year with her in The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer, tweeted: "My heart goes out to Caroline Flack and everyone who loved her. It's just awful.
"In my brief experience of meeting her on #GBBO she was big hearted, funny and very likeable. What terrible times she must have gone through recently. A tragedy."
Jack Whitehall tweeted: "Utterly devastating about Caroline Flack. She was a fun, kind beautiful person, always loved seeing her. So unfair that this has happened.
"Let's pray we learn from this and remember to be a little bit more compassionate to people when they are down".
X Factor presenter Dermot O'Leary posted on Instagram writing: "Just the worst news. Poor soul. Sending love to hers, and yours. Hold them tight tonight people. X Candles lit."
TV and radio presenter Rylan Clark-Neal tweeted: "Apologies for the last 15 mins of my show . I'd been informed of the news and was and still am in complete shock. Gutted. So sad. Sleep well Flack x".
Laura Whitmore, who took over hosting the winter series of Love Island from Flack, tweeted: "I'm trying to find the words but I can't", followed by a broken hearted emoji.
TV presenter Jonathan Ross said he had been in touch with Flack recently, adding in a message on Twitter: "I am very sad to hear that Caroline Flack is dead. I had been in touch with her recently and had hoped she was doing better. She was talented and smart and likeable and she will he missed. It's awful."
Susanna Reid tweeted: "My heart is absolutely broken for Caroline Flack and everybody who loves her."
