Canada set to legalise cannabis
They are the first G7 country to do so
Canada is set to legalise cannabis and it could happen as soon as in 8-12 weeks.
Their President, Justin Trudeau said it's been too easy for our kids to get marijuana - and for criminals to reap the profits"
Mr Trudeau made legalising recreational marijuana part of his successful 2015 election campaign. Arguing the new law would keep pot out of the hands of underage users and reduce related crime.
The country will now control and regulate the grownth of the drug and also people to buy and consume it legally.
The UK announced yesterday it was looking into the medicinal benefits of cannabis but there are no plans to allow it for recreational use.
