British national sentenced in the UAE for UK Government spying.
Durham University student Matthew Hedges has been handed a life sentence by a court in the UAE.
Matthew Hedges was arrested in May and accused of spying for the British Government.
Theresa May has spoken out on Mr Hedges' conviction, saying that the Government are disappointed and concerned at the verdict.
The Prime Minster has said that the case will be discussed with the Emirati authorities at the highest level.
