Body matches Jay Slater’s fingerprints and death consistent with fall

It's said to be consistent with a fall

A body found in Tenerife matches the fingerprints of missing teenager Jay Slater and the cause of death is consistent with multiple injuries sustained during a fall in a rocky area, a Spanish court has said.

The Canary Islands High Court of Justice confirmed the body was found near the village of Masca on Monday.

Charity LBT Global previously said the remains were found with the 19-year-old’s clothes and possessions near his last known location.

The Spanish Civil Guard said Mr Slater, from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, could have fallen in the steep and inaccessible area where he was discovered.
